High School No. 17 in Gdynia

The participants of the School of Dialogue, students from High School no. 17 in Gdynia, designed a unique city game for freshmen from their school. It was inspired by the true story of a young Jewish physician who had gone missing in the 1930s. The students wrote a script based on his biography and prepared a detective mystery to be solved by the participants. At subsequent stops of the tour, the participants were given interesting riddles, and when they managed solve them, they were rewarded with a piece of the main puzzle.

At the and of the game, the participants discovered the reason for the mysterious disappearance of the Jewish physician. This tour/city game took place on November 16, 2018, and it provided the participants with both entertainment and a lot of knowledge about Jewish life in Gdynia and the Holocaust. Several props were used in the game, including photographs of religious items, maps and recordings in Yiddish, German and Romanian. The students used historical studies on the Jewish community of Gdynia to prepare the project.
