School of Dialogue alumni were among the members of informal coalition organizing the March of Tolerance in Konin that will took place on May 18, 2018. Students of region’s high schools and young activists organized themselves to protest against internet hate speech and other expressions of hatred and prejudice, as well as to manifest their respect and support for minorities living in Poland.
One of the members of this informal coalition explains the feelings that pushed them towards activism: “We are neither the first nor the last generation that wants to change the world … We want to achieve that as a students’ community. We’re not afraid of hate speech and we feel that we have to show that.”
We are proud that School of Dialogue program alumni continue to fearlessly and publically engage in issues that matter to them – their involvement, creativity, and responsibility are a testament to the program’s success.
