Students from our school were invited to participate in “Butterflies”, an international project initiated by US artist Cheryl Rattner Price to symbolically honor the children who died in the Holocaust. Half of the meeting was spent on painting ceramic butterflies, each of which was to symbolize a child whose identity remains unknown. We will keep in our memory the names of the innocent victims, and ceramic butterflies will remind us of our obligation to remember and our responsibility for others, for peace and for this world.
