Łukasz Parus - Leader of Dialogue in Zagórów

In 2014, students from Zagórów’s School Complex participated in the School of Dialogue educational program. The project included a series of workshops by educators Maria Pawlak and Katarzyna Niewczas, a lecture by Damian Kruczkowski from Konin Appreciation Society about social activism on local level and exploring local history, an educational walking tour aimed to present sites connected with Zagórów’s  Jews and a meeting with Mr.Czesław Jasiński, whose plot of land was once occupied by the shtiebel and Kehilla buildings. Additionally, Kostanecki Brothers high school students honored the memory of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising by preparing paper daffodils and handing them out to members of the school’s community. The final project for the program was a film entitled “Something good at the Rainbow’s End. 

Life story of Zagórów’s Leon Jedwab”, which was screened four times for a wider audience. Two of the screenings were intended for the school’s community and invited guests, one was held during a conference for history teachers organized by the workers of the Center for Centrum Doskonalenia Nauczycieli and Miejski Ośrodek Doskonalenia Nauczycieli in Konin and one screening was organized during the 18th edition of Polish Days of Judaism in Słupca (2015).Students also sent their final project to Mr.Jedwab. A copy of the film is located in the archives of the Holocaust Museum in Melbourne. Additionally, School of Dialogue participants organized an educational walking tour for local middle school students.
