To mark the 72nd anniversary of the Uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto, the POLINMuseum of the History of the Polish Jews organized a social-educational campaign called “Daffodils”.  My students and I decided to take part in this endeavor. As our first step, we participated in extracurricular classes called “Smoke Over the Ghetto”, during which the students obtained necessary historical information and were prepared to participatein the commemorative action. 

Our next task was to create over 200 paper daffodils, symbols of remembrance of the heroes of the 1943 uprising. The daffodils were then distributed among the inhabitants of our town on April 19, the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
