Dominika Złakowska-Cieślak

With the assistance of other members of the Borussia Foundation, I am responsible for maintenance of the Jewish cemetery in Olsztyn. Our duties include ongoing maintenance work and care for the greenery on its premises, including veteran trees. Local residents, mostly schoolchildren, support us in our activities.

Each fall we organize an annual leaf-raking and leaf-removal event at the cemetery, with active participation of the local youth. To thank them for their efforts, we then invite students to participate in educational sessions on the history of Jewish Olsztyn.
