Participation in this project, which continues to this day, had us involved in a number of activities. First and foremost, we conducted thorough cleanup works at the Jewish cemetery, creating an inventory and registry of existing headstones, a virtual map of the site as well as a map of Jewish Dąbrowa – the latter we based on testimonies of the town’s oldest residents.

I count recording 14 eyewitness testimonies and shooting the documentary film “Nieobecna rodzina” with filmmaker Dr Tomasz Wiśniewski among my greatest accomplishments. Tomasz has studied the history of Podlasie Jews for years and I collaborate with him until today.
