Murowana Goślina

A preparatory visit was held in September 2013, when we hosted leaders from four countries – Armenia, Georgia, Malta and Poland – in Murowana Goślina and Zielona Góra. Together we discussed details about project activities. The most important goal of the project was to confront the needs and dreams of people of different ages from different countries, experiencing different political and historical contexts. The young people from Malta, Georgia, Armenia and Poland worked together in Murowana Goślina, Puszcza Zielonka and Poznań. The area around Hipolit Cegielski Junior High School No. 1 served us as a creative space for installation art expressing intercultural dreams and desires of the project participants. We also organized make-up and culinary workshops there. On Sunday 27 July, at the Freedom Square in Poznań, we organized a balloon happening and a flash mob entitled “Rainbow of dreams of the big and small ones”. Residents of Poznań, tourists and project participants wrote their dreams and needs on small pieces of paper attached to red and blue balloons, which at noon flew to the sky. The project participants also paid a visit to the Poznan Jewish Community and met with its chairman – Alicja Kobus. The students also had a conversation with the deputy mayor of Murowana Goślina – Marcin Buliński and the principal of Hipolit Cegielski Junior High School No. 1 – Justyna Furman. The young people were also involved in social activities and helped to segregate clothes in the Social Welfare Center. There, they met with a friendly group of senior citizens and shared their needs and dreams. The students also visited Fara Poznañska and St. Nicholas Church in Poznañ.
