Several years of efforts, initiated by a letter to the Town Council, to collect signatures of the residents under the petition, then repeated reminders, letters, also to the Religious Community in Krakow, fights with the mayor, and finally, during the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the annihilation of Mszana Jews, he said in a public speech, that it was an initiative….of the Town Council, in particular the chairman, who maybe 5 minutes before had asked me with admiration in his voice: “How did you finally manage to achieve that?!”, because in the meantime his term ended. But he did not protest during the mayor’s speech, he received applause, bowed down. Well, success has many fathers. The most important thing is that the Avenue of Remembrance exists. During the commemoration, my students presented an artistic and historical program.
