Teresa Jabłońska
Leader of Dialogue from Września
This project is addressed to local schools and entails a series of educational activities focused on Jewish culture and the history of Jews in Poland based on the materials available in Września and the Regional Museum. The project will also involve study visits to Holocausts sites and related museums in the Greater Poland region. A team of three history teachers will develop lesson plans featuring maps, documents, testimonies, and archival photographs, as well as interactive online materials, recordings of witness testimonies and quests, all made available to local libraries.
The diversity of methods used will ensure not only that students learn a lot, but also will foster their empathy and sensitivity towards a different culture and the fate of Jews during the war. All the activities will be popularized via social media, which will ensure more visibility of the efforts to commemorate the almost invisible Jeiwsh history of Września.
Project financed by the Ledor Wador Foundation.
