Bożena Gajewska

She is a regionalist, organizer of cultural activities, president of the Friends of Kutnowska Land Society (TPZK), Social Guardian of Monuments. For many years, she has been actively working in the interest of protecting the cultural heritage of the Kutno region. She is an author of numerous articles published in the Regional Kutno Journals, member of TPZK editorial team. In 2017, she was awarded with the Decoration of Honor Meritorious for Polish Culture; she is a laureate of the Golden Bookplate award of the Provincial Public Library in Lodz for the best album release of the Lodz Region of 2017. Bożena Gajewska is an initiator and coordinator of the 2016 visit of the Museum on Wheels and projects on restoring the memory of Jewish communities of Kutno and Krośniewice and of the Kutno cemetery. While working on the “Outline of the Jewish history of the Kutno Land” publication, she prepared a search query which resulted in unique photos, documents and iconographic materials. She corresponds with the representatives of the homeland association in France.
