Anita Rucioch-Gołek, a member of our Leaders of Dialogue network, was on a 10-days study trip along the trail of the cultural and historical heritage of Jews of Eastern Poland as she sought to learn more about the history of the shtetls. Her fellow activists, local participants of the Leaders of Dialogue program, supported her greatly on her way – “the network is so working,” she reported. She traveled, among others, to Białystok, Wysokie Mazowieckie, Tykocin, Białowieża, Orla, Lublin, Zamość, Izbica, Bełżec, Treblinka, and Jedwabne, where she visited museums, memorial sites, and met with other Polish/Jewish dialogue activists.
Anita’s study trip was co-financed by Forum for Dialogue as a part of the 2022 Personal Development Scholarship.
