Dariusz Walerjański

I employ my authority and all my activist and institutional knowledge that to support all actions towards saving or reinstating the due dignity to sites such as Jewish cemeteries or synagogues. I meet with groups of individuals trying to salvage a particular necropolis and help them draft an action plan that is in line with the law and Jewish traditions.

I have had the opportunity to participate in commemorating Jewish history in Tarnowskie Góry, Miasteczko Śląskie, Żory, Pyskowice, Toszek, Wielowieś, Sośnicowice, Gliwice, Mysłowice and Wodzisław Śląski. I give presentations for school and university students to spark youth’s interest in local Jewish history and what remains of it today.
