On March 10, 2022, a ceremony of unveiling a plaque commemorating Emanuel Ringelblum took place in Nowy Sącz. The event was hosted by the High School no 1, school the future founder of the underground Warsaw Ghetto Archive graduated from. The commemoration was organized by Shtetl of Tsanz, Popiela Family Foundation – People Not Numbers Program, High School no 1 in Nowy Sącz, and J. Szujski Public Library. Among the co-organizers were members of our Leaders of Dialogue network: Edyta Danielska, Artur Franczak, Łukasz Połomski, and Dariusz Popiela.
After the ceremony, the high school students watched the ‘Who will write our history’ documentary. Dr. Aleksandra Bańkowska from the Historical Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences gave a historical commentary before the screening.
