“Kaddish for Dąbrowa Białostocka” exhibition

Dorota Budzińska – Leader of Dialogue in Dąbrowa Białostocka

The city in paintings “Kaddish for Dąbrowa Białostocka” is a series of 18 artworks about the nonexistent world of Dąbrowa’s Jews created by Marek Podwal (whose mother was born in Dąbrowa), a world-class artist based in New York.

His works were exhibited in our town, in the Great Synagogue in New York and in Grodno, as well as in the Ludwik Zamenhof Center in Białystok. The artist donated his paintings to our school.
