Grants and scholarships for Leaders of Dialogue

A teacher of history and social studies, Teresa Jabłońska has for many years been involved in cultivating her students’ interest in Jewish history and culture. Together with the Regional Museum in Września and Pyzdry, Teresa has been working on a database of documents, photographs and testimonies, which she has collected over the years of activity centered around Września Jews. She intends to create an archive commemorating the former Jewish community of the Września district.

Teresa plans to use the funds from the scholarship to purchase a laptop computer with parameters that will allow her to store numerous photos and work effectively with the photographs, including graphic processing, cataloging, captioning, etc. The archive will serve as a stepping stone for an educational website on Jewish culture, which will help collect data on the local Jewish community prior to 1939.

The Leaders of Dialogue program, including grants and scholarships, was financed thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Forum, Ledor Wador Foundation, and individual donors and institutions from Poland and abroad supporting Forum for Dialogue. Scholarships for personal development are possible thanks to The David and Anna Dlugie Kliger Scholarship Fund.
