Damian Kruczkowski (born in 1982 in Konin), a sociologist, community worker, activist, enthusiast of history, multiculturalism and the multi-faith nature of Konin and the surrounding areas. As an active long-time member of various community organizations, he protects and preserves the memory of the Konin Jews by telling their story to everyone who wants to listen, and also by organizing, initiating or co-organizing events and social activities, such as “Following the footsteps of the Konin Jews”, talks and lectures in the schools in Konin and at the University of the Third Age, Hanukkah and Sukkot celebrations, Daffodil Walks. He is dedicated to the fate of the Synagogue in Konin, where he gives tours with passion and pride. On a daily basis, he manages the Zofia Urbanowska Public Municipal Library in Konin, which, among others, collects and stores extant books from the late Jewish library and private book collections of the Konin Jews.
