Unearthing of Synagogue Stairs in Rabka

In 2011, I helped unearth the stairs that once led to Rabka’s synagogue and clear the surrounding area. The initiative was put forward by Narcyz Listkowski, who lived nearby and realized that these stairs may have led to the synagogue. He got his neighbors to help with the excavation works.

Over the course of three consecutive Saturdays, bit by bit, the stairs emerged from the earth. Ultimately, the whole site has been cleaned up and a wooden fence has been put up to separate it from the residential area.
