Grants and scholarships for Leaders of Dialogue

Forum for Dialogue’s grants supports Agata Radkowska-Parka’s volunteer training program for the upcoiming “Lubliner Reunion 2023,” a reunion of descendants of Lublin Jews planned for July 2023. The “Well of Memory” Association, a partner of the Reunion organized by the “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Center, aims to create a community of people who care for the Jewish heritage of Lublin and relations with descendants of Lublin Jews. Their presence at the Reunion will increase the accessibility of the event. Similarly to the 2017 edition of the Reunion, the active involvement of volunteers from Lublin and the region will contribute to the direct dialogue between the visitors and contemporary residents of Lublin, who share a commitment to the town’s rich Jewish past.

The activity of the “Well of Memory” Association and Agata Radkowska-Parka is planned for approximately 20 participants of different ages, who will undergo a series of training sessions to prepare for the Reunion, so they can offer assistance to the 250+ people coming from abroad and planning to attend the event.

In 2023, the Leaders of Dialogue program, including grants and scholarships, is financed thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Forum, LEDOR WADOR Foundation, United States Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad and individual donors and institutions from Poland and abroad supporting Forum for Dialogue. Scholarships for personal development are possible thanks to The David and Anna Dlugie Kliger Scholarship Fund.
