“We Lived Together for Centuries” is the name for an initiative in our school’s community to awaken students’ interest in Jewish culture and traditions, but also to help them realize how much of our history is shared with the Jews.
Students of our school interested in Jewish matters volunteer to organize and lead the event. Different activities are prepared to present the “story” of the Jewish nation in a variety of ways.
The project is addressed to students of our school – each class walks through the different activity stops located throughout the school and perform different tasks.

The game begins with a briefing, in the course of which we introduce the subject and explain why we wish to present Jewish traditions and culture to them. Teachers accompany the students, so that my colleagues also have a chance to get acquainted with the topic.
So far we organized two editions of the project. What makes this initiative special is that students who organize it get very involved and are prepared for other endeavors in the future.
