Teaching about the Past to Ensure
    a Better Future

The success of School of Dialogue is based on the work of a motivated and engaged team of educators. Aware of the need for continuous development and skills upgrading, we have developed a program of regular workshops. They offer a space where the educators can exchange experiences and ideas for the workshops. Last week our educators participated in a training sessions devoted to giving and receiving feedback.

First part of the workshop consisted of theoretical reflection on the importance of feedback in informal education. We talked about psychological obstacles that restrain us from accepting it from others.

From theory the educators moved to practice, during an exercise where they practiced giving and receiving feedback. They learned how to rephrase information to make it easier to acknowledge by the recipient. The discussion and practical activities inspired a lively debate on the uses and abuses of feedback.
