Marek Kołcon will use the funds from the scholarship for personal development to pay for an English language course and a professional camera. He has a long history of activism in Zamość and managed to establish contacts with descendants of Zamość Jews who visit the town, meet with young people from Zamość and keep in touch with him. Taking English course will allow him to stay in touch with the descendants without the help of a translator, which he has had to use so far when contacting the families of the Survivors.
The camera will be a necessary tool in documenting the town and working in the archive on the Jewish Zamość guide that he is preparing.
