Memorial ceremony on the first deportation of Zamość Jews

On April 11, 2016, students from High School No 2 held a ceremony commemorating the 74^th anniversary of the first deportation to Bełżec from the “beetroot ramp”. The event was attended by other high school students, deputy mayor of Zamość and deputy head of Local Education Authority Ms. Agnieszka Kowal.

This was the first commemorative event of Zamość Jews on the ramp in the town’s postwar history.
