Grants and Scholarships for Leaders of Dialogue

The main goal of the project is to educate the youth about the history and culture of Jews in Poland. It is addressed to the students of local schools and senior citizens attending the University of the Third Age. The cultural program will serve as a basis for topical classes held in five elementary schools.. The project will also include a city game along the trail of memorial sites and in the Regional Museum of Września.

Another project activity will involve culinary workshops concluded with a tasting of Jewish dishes, and a concert of Klezmer music organized in cooperation with the town’s authorities and the Cultural Center. During the concert, the performers will give a short introduction to Jewish musical traditions.

The Leaders of Dialogue program, including grants and scholarships, was financed thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Forum, Ledor Wador Foundation, and individual donors and institutions from Poland and abroad supporting Forum for Dialogue. Scholarships for personal development are possible thanks to The David and Anna Dlugie Kliger Scholarship Fund.
